An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced person to play a key role in delivering a community arts programme in West Lothian which focuses on the Arts & Wellbeing.

The postholder will work in partnership with other Council services and external organisations and agencies to provide a targeted programme of arts activity which creates opportunities for positive personal and community change through participation in the arts. The postholder will deliver arts initiatives and projects across West Lothian with a specific responsibility to develop programmes which use the arts to improve health and wellbeing and to improve access to the arts for all through work targeted at specific groups.

The post, based in Livingston, is a part-time job share for 14.4 hours (2 days) per week, the days of the week to be worked are flexible, the post also includes occasional evening and weekends.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the West Lothian Council.
