His music won a prestigious British Composer Award and has featured at the Venice Biennale, Turin Festival, BBC Proms and Britt Festival, Oregon. Other works include performances by the Philharmonia, Britten Sinfonia and Joanna MacGregor, as well as Ensemble Bash, Camerata Ducale and the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. As a conductor he has appeared with many orchestras and ensembles both here and abroad, including on Joanna MacGregor’s critically acclaimed album Neural Circuits, which he also conducted at the BBC Proms. A passionate advocate of cross-disciplinary collaboration, he worked with scientists for the Creating Sparks Festival and was Artist in Residence at Cittadellarte, Italy, with an International Fellowship from the Arts Council. His work with visual artists has been exhibited throughout Europe and the UK and he has also directed collaborations between the Tate Gallery and Royal National Theatre.
