Continental Drift: 50 years of jazz from Europe takes place between the
16 – 17 July in Edinburgh, UK and is a joint production between Edinburgh Napier University and Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival. Across the two-day conference, themes will include the histories, current practices, and future directions of jazz from Europe by bringing together a range of experts from the fields of academia, creative practice, and the music industries. This innovative event will appeal to jazz fans, musicians, and academics through vibrant interactive panel sessions, and diverse and stimulating individual presentations by international speakers.

Conference organisers, Haftor Medbøe and Zack Moir said: “We are honoured and excited to welcome contributors from around the world to Continental Drift.
