Creative Scotland

We are looking for a Creative Learning Officer to join us and support Creative Scotland’s work in the context of our 10-year plan.

Salary: £27,064 pro rata plus pension and benefits
Full Time (36 hrs per week)

You will be an active member of the Creative Learning and Young People team and will assess and make recommendations on a range of funding applications, projects and funding primarily across youth arts and creative learning.

You will also be expected to support on several different national programmes of work including; the National Youth Arts Strategy, CashBack for Creativity, the Creative Learning Plan and ArtWorks Scotland and, in particular, the Youth Music Initiative as well as supporting the wider work of the Creative Scotland.

The person appointed will work closely with cultural organisations, artists, creative practitioners, local authorities and other key stakeholders to support the delivery of projects and programmes.
Our ideal candidate will have a successful track record of project management and good knowledge of youth arts and creative learning across Scotland. You will have demonstrable experience and knowledge of creative learning within the arts, screen and creative industries and across other areas of public life including education, justice, employability and health.

Specific knowledge of music and the youth music sector is essential. You will also be able to demonstrate experience in carrying out detailed assessments of proposals and producing clear reports and recommendations. Experience and understanding of the arts and creative industries in Scotland with strong interpersonal skills is essential.
