Born in 1951 in Britain and how based in Germany, studied under Hans Werner Henze and has written many works from solo pieces to stage works which have been performed and broadcast throughout Europe and Latin America. He has composed film music for Volker Schlondorff and Bill Douglas and has recently completed a video project, Dolly, an artistic discussion on genetic technology performed throughout Europe at many of the leading arts, film , and video festivals. He has also developed a range of highly successful music theatre projects as part of his commitment to music in education and has worked on such projects in the UK with The Tate Gallery and the National Youth Music Theatre and regularly in Cuba.
