Principal conductor Peter Evans. Founded 1972. Based in Edinburgh and consists of up to 50 players. Generally available at weekends for concerts within around three hours travelling distance by road. Programmes negotiable, drawn from a wide repertoire of classical and contemporary works, often instriducing young, gifted soloists at an early stage of their career. Fee from £1050 all inclusive.
