Impact Arts are looking for a co-ordinator for projects in Edinburgh

Impact Arts has a long history across Edinburgh and the Lothians, delivering high quality youth engagement, creative ageing and community based work. The role of Edinburgh Co-ordinator is essential within our organisation and reflects the increased focus we are giving to growing our work across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

The role of Edinburgh Co-ordinator is wide ranging, being responsible for delivery across youth employability and attainment, creative play and older people. We do not expect the successful candidate to have experience in all of these areas, but they must be able to demonstrate adaptability and excellence in co-ordination.

We are looking for someone who is dynamic, who will bring considerable experience, creativity, energy and passion to the role and who wants to join our mission in tackling inequalities across Scotland.

Job title: Co-ordinator

Salary: £23,000 per annum (£18,400 pro rata for 30 hours per week).

Based at: Venue TBC

Travel: May be required across the local authorities in which Impact Arts delivers – e.g. Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, Edinburgh, Ayrshire, West Lothian

Reporting to: Rachel McEwen, Programme Manager

Duration of contract: 12 month fixed term contract

Working Hours: 30 hours per week over 4 days

Qualifications: SCQF level 9 in related discipline


Minimum of two years’ experience in project coordination and/or delivering or overseeing delivery of community-based projects in a diverse range of community settings.
Minimum of two years’ experience in arts or youth work sector.
Experience of working with children and young people within diverse community settings.
Experience of coordinating the delivery of accredited qualifications (desirable).
Other Essentials:

Knowledge of key national strategies relating to education, attainment and mental health.
Competent IT skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Full driving licence (desirable)
Subject to PVG check.
