Distinguished violinist Madeleine Mitchell, described by The Herald as ‘a violinist in a million‘, performs appealing works by Scottish and American composers, including John McLeod CBE who will introduce his work for film, ‘Another Time, Another Place’, and works written for Madeleine by Sir James MacMillan and Nigel Osborne MBE – celebrating his 70th birthday, together with works by Americans Copland, Amy Beach and Gershwin ‘An American in Paris’ ‘in Mitchell’s highly effective arrangement” (The Times).
