About this Role

£20,400 – £24,500 pro rata – 2 days per week (15 hours)

The post holder will support the Head of Development primarily in maximising income from individual givers (including major donors) and trusts and foundations. This will include the creation and development of engaging online content and bespoke collateral, researching new opportunities and prospective major donors, processing income, and preparing accurate and timely impact reports. The position involves working closely with the Head of Development to implement, test and evaluate methods of supporter and funder recruitment and retention.

The post holder will have responsibility for delivering high quality stewardship and donor care, and ensuring that Sound and Music maintains excellent relationships with funders and donors. Working closely with colleagues across the wider Sound and Music team, the post holder will play a key role in identifying opportunities to engage funders and donors within a supporter journey framework (such as receiving newsletters, invitations to events and meeting artists and staff). With the Development department consisting of the Head of Development and the Fundraising Coordinator, the post holder will have the freedom and be encouraged to identify and implement new methods of donor engagement, and shape the evolving strategy. The post holder will play a pivotal role in the ongoing development and maintenance of the contact database (which is held on Salesforce) as well as the development of Sound and Music’s online giving platform:
