We are: looking to appoint experienced and passionate Traditional Music instrumental lecturers to teach at our North East Arts Hub, commencing in September 2018 in the following specialisms;

• Fiddle
• Scots Song
• Clarsach
• Pipes
• Piano
• Accordion

You will teach students from a wide variety of backgrounds.

We are really quite unique: The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s Junior Conservatoire is committed to widening access and opportunities for children and young people across Scotland, implementing successful initiatives aimed at increasing music participation by young people from under-represented groups.

You are: highly motivated, dynamic and someone who thrives in a demanding, intense yet passionate educational environment.

You must have: relevant professional experience in music as a performer and teacher, excellent communication skills and an interest in the development of young people’s potential, along with knowledge and experience of arts education.

While hours will vary, in a standard academic year it is anticipated that teaching will be between 2 – 7 hours per week. This post will normally involve 30 weekends of teaching in each academic session over the academic year.
