Impact Arts (Projects) Ltd

Impact Arts is delighted to be part of The Listening Fund portfolio in Scotland,, and as such are looking for a Listening Expert to join the team

Impact Arts is delighted to be part of The Listening Fund portfolio in Scotland, as we want to grow our organisational capacity to listen, co-design and influence our strategic direction by creating more channels of communication between the children and young people we engage and our team.

This year marks Impact Arts’ 25th Anniversary year. In this time we have worked in 30 of Scotland’s 32 local authorities and reached hundreds of thousands of people, the majority of whom are under 25 years old. We support people and communities who are often the most marginalised in society – e.g. affected significantly by adverse childhood experiences, poor mental health, poor educational attainment, relative and absolute poverty, disability, lack of services, social and geographic isolation – and will often feel as though they are not listened to and have little or no platforms for doing so, reflecting feelings of low self-worth and disenfranchisement.

We have identified a need to embed a listening culture and structured process for listening and co-design activities within our programmes. Whilst we already deliver elements of co-design and consultation, we currently do not have the resource or capacity to deliver this across the organisation. This means we are at risk of excluding children and young people from having their voices heard/shared, something we want to address as a point of urgency within our organisation.
