Louise was a major prizewinner at the Royal College of Music. She spent 10 years in London freelancing as a flautist with orchestras including the London Philharmonic, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, City of Birmingham Symphony, Glyndebourne Touring Opera to name but a few. Louise moved to Scotland in 1994 with her husband and 3 children. Louise’s first composition ‘Millennium Gloria’ was written for large forces from her local community and was performed in January 2000. The performance to a packed church seating 480 was such a triumph that there was a demand for a second performance in March 2000. Since then Louise has written several chamber music works citing traditional Scottish and Renaissance choral music among her influences. More recently Louise composed the ‘John Muir Songcycle’ for two choirs and instrumentalists for the John Muir Festival.
