A strikingly significant work, it launched the career of Hebrides Ensemble some twenty years ago.We take to the road in March with 4 performances of this seminal masterpiece. This fascinating work by Arnold Schoenberg, setting Albert Giraud's dark, eerie poems to music, created for speaking/singing female performer and chamber ensemble was first performed in Berlin in 1912.
