14th June, 5-7pm
Creative Scotland, Waverley Gate, Edinburgh
You are invited to join us to find out more about Momentum – the Edinburgh Festivals’ International Delegate Programme which runs during the month of August.
Momentum provides a dynamic platform for key cultural figures from across the world to engage and build relationships with the world’s leading Festival City, the wider Scottish cultural sector, and the international community that flocks to Edinburgh during the peak Festival season. Last year Momentum welcomed 111 delegates from 29 countries.
This information sharing event will be an opportunity to find out more about Momentum and how it could help support your international ambitions:
- to make global contacts
- to explore potential touring opportunities
- to support knowledge and skills exchange
- to form artistic collaborations with international peers
- to meet potential international funding partners
- to build long term relationships internationally
Countries participating in this year include Hong Kong, China (Shanghai), India, France, Germany, Iran (tbc), Japan, Argentina, Taiwan, Canada, New Zealand and USA. There will also be specific literature and visual arts delegations. The event will allow you to hear more about the countries attending, as well as from each of the delivery partners (Creative Scotland, Festivals Edinburgh and the British Council) and past participants.
We are particularly keen to welcome artists, producers, promoters and arts organisations based in Scotland who are working across the performing arts, visual arts and literature, as well as cross art form and digital/technology, who may not have been to Momentum before, but who have a desire to develop their work in international markets.
