Lyra is looking to appoint a part-time Operations Manager to join their senior management team. This role is a job-share with an existing member of staff.

Fixed term. September 2018 to March 2021
Salary:
£28,000 p.a. (pro rata). Financial package includes holiday pay and pension.
Hours:
3 days/week or equivalent hours. Any additional hours worked can be taken as TOIL. Candidates must be available to regularly work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

The Operations Manager will work closely with the senior team as part of a small arts organisation in Craigmillar, Edinburgh. As a senior role within a small, growing company, the Operations Manager is responsible for the smooth running of Lyra the organisation and of the venue, Artspace, to achieve our aim to create world-class performing arts with, for and by children and young people. The Operations Manager will ensure that Lyra meets the needs of service users, resident artists and associate companies as well as cultural and community partners and funders.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, the successful candidate will be a strong, positive leader with a range of people and project skills. They will be a highly experienced project manager and an excellent communicator. They will have experience, or a clear understanding of the opportunities and challenges of working for a small, community based organisation. Although they may not be experienced in all aspects of the job they will be extremely motivated and organised and with the skills to lead their own development in new areas.
