The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra seeks to appoint an Orchestra Manager who is responsible for all aspects of the administrative management of the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra and the Tommy Smith Youth Jazz Orchestra
Job Title: Orchestra Manager for the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra and Tommy Smith Youth Jazz Orchestra
Working Hours: 30 hours per week.
Some Weekend and evening working will be required.
Salary: Annual salary £24,000–£28,000 according to experience (NB: This scale is pro rata for 30hrs per week)
The Orchestra Manager is responsible for the day to day management of the two orchestras, the SNJO and TSYJO, and will work closely with the Artistic Director to raise the profile of the orchestras and deliver of a wide portfolio of quality projects, focusing on concerts, tours, fundraising and publicity. The role will also help to develop digital content, and high quality marketing materials for the programme.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate calm leadership, be extremely well organised, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
