Born in South Yorkshire in 1970, Rebecca Rowe was educated at Hull University and the University of Edinburgh, studying composition with Alan Laing and Nigel Osborne respectively. She began composing at a young age, but since 1990 has become particularly prolific. Since moving to Edinburgh in 1992 she has enjoyed regular performances of her work, ranging from orchestral, chamber ensemble, viol consort pieces and solo instrumental through to choral and solo songs.
