Brian Davidson

'Scottish pianist and composer Brian Davidson studied at the Royal College of Music and later in Paris with Vlado Perlemuter on a Sir James Caird Travelling Scholarship.  He completed his postgraduate studies at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Canada on a bursary from the government of Alberta. 

Brian lectured in piano and music history at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland for several years and now teaches at the City of Edinburgh Music School. In addition to his performances in this country he has played in Germany, Portugal, Sri Lanka and Canada. 

His piano music, published by Kevin Mayhew Ltd., often combines classical and folk styles and has received outstanding critical acclaim in recent years.
