Job Description
The Benedetti Foundation is looking for a committed, enthusiastic and innovative person to join our team. We are seeking a committed, dedicated individual with previous experience in fundraising and a strong interest in music education. In this role you will build upon successful practices to date and work with our Head of Development and Trusts and Foundations Manager to assist in the growth of the Foundation's income through supporting current fundraising activities, as well as identifying and researching new sources of funding. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to shaping the future of The Benedetti Foundation at a time of expansion.
The role will work closely with the Head of Development and Trusts and Foundations Manager to:
Support the Foundation's fundraising efforts
Lead on the day-to-day fundraising administration (e.g. Friends and Patrons) of The Benedetti Foundation
Assist with the Foundation's programme of activities and fundraising events across the UK and online
Be a proactive, self-motivated and supportive member of the Foundation team
Location for role: Home-based with a requirement to join monthly full team meetings in London and meet with the Head of Development in person as required for the role. You will also be required to attend occasional Benedetti Foundation events, wherever possible across the UK (all travel expenses will be reimbursed). Location is flexible within the UK and will be discussed and reviewed before an offer is made and at the end of the probationary period.
Hours: Full Time. Hours will generally be worked between Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with occasional evening and weekend work as required by the role; a time-in-lieu policy is in place.

Job Requirements
Essential:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor communications to different audiences in a concise and engaging manner
Experience of working in a fundraising role within an arts charity, other charitable organisation or administrative environment
Good research skills, with the ability to put these into practice to develop new funding opportunities and more
Excellent attention to detail
Proficient use of IT including Microsoft Office and Google Drive
Experience maintaining records, using a database and following GDPR procedures
Ability to use initiative and prioritise workload with excellent time management skills, a problem-solving approach and reliability in meeting regular deadlines
Experience of carrying out varied responsibilities within a smaller team

Job Responsibilities
Research potential donors, sponsors, grant opportunities and event venues, and assist with planning and actioning research findings
Assist with the preparation of grant applications and reports
Assist with the planning and coordination of fundraising events and campaigns
Contribute to the preparation and delivery of digital fundraising campaigns
Assist with the running of the Foundation's Friends and Patrons Programme and general donation management, including processing donations and preparing acknowledgement letters for donors, stewardship of donors (by phone, email and in person) and preparation of donor communications (e.g. regular newsletters)
Maintain spreadsheets and reports to track fundraising progress and goals
Support with the development and day-to-day administration of the fundraising database
Attend physical and online Foundation activities to support with donor management and stewardship
