TWe are seeking a dynamic and proactive administrator with an enthusiasm for live events.

You will be able to work well as part of a team as well as being self-motivated and stimulated by working in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. Reporting to the Marketing & Audience Development Manager, you will work collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure the smooth running of the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival. Tasks include:

• Coordinating the movement of equipment, catering and dressing room facilities between venues throughout the festival.
• Liaising with artists, festival staff and venue teams on final arrangements for travel, transport and accommodation, as well as any technical requirements, promotional materials and ticket allocations.
• Assisting with box office admin, including maintaining data lists, working on box office protocols and coordinating the movement of box office equipment.
• Working with the Marketing & Audience Development Manager to research and liaise with potential promotion partners, as well as managing the brochure distribution.

Essential Skills:

• Highly organised with excellent administrative capabilities and time management skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and a strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with IT software, especially Microsoft Office
• Experience of working in the arts/live music events
• Basic understanding of event production logistics
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Flexibility to adapt to changing situations, with strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Details:

• Mid-May to mid-June 2025: Part-time, two days a week (Mondays and Thursdays 10AM – 6PM).
• Mid-June to early August 2025: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 10AM – 6PM.
• July 10 – July 20, 2025: Due to the nature of festival work, you’ll be required to work every day during this period, with longer hours as needed. EJBF provides time off in lieu (TOIL) for any additional hours worked.


Location: EJBF’s office in Leith. During our events work will take place on location

Payment: £26,000-£28,000 per annum pro rata, depending on experience

You would be entitled to 5.5 days holiday (including public holidays) to be taken before July and be added to the Company’s pension scheme
