Jazz Scotland is recruiting for a new CEO to lead and deliver on all aspects of the company’s operational, artistic, and strategic work.

A central player in the vibrant Scottish jazz scene, Jazz Scotland is best known for the delivery of 3 flagship festivals (Aberdeen, Islay, and Dundee). The organisation recently joined Creative Scotland’s portfolio of organisations receiving Multi-Year Funding, providing financial stability for the coming three years. As we enter this new phase in our development, our dedicated staff team are developing new strands of work around education, artist development, and community work with a view to further strengthening the jazz and jazz-adjacent music scene in Scotland. This exciting new chapter in our history requires a CEO who can provide inspiring artistic and operational leadership for our small, but dedicated, staff team.

Job Title: Chief Executive Officer
Duration: 4.5 days per week (£45,784 pro rata)
Location: Aberdeen (some hybrid/home-working negotiable)
Closing date: 10th April at 10am.

Interviews will take place in-person on the 15th and 16th April 2025 in Aberdeen in an accessible venue. Alternative arrangements can be made on request.

The interview will also include a short IT proficiency task. If required, the panel may decide to invite candidates back for a second interview.
