The Programmes Manager will take responsibility for the successful planning, delivery and evaluation of National Youth Choir programmes designed to create opportunities for young people across the UK
Job Title: Programmes Manager (Pathways & Partnerships)
Salary: £26,000 pro rata
Hours: 21 hours per week (0.6FTE)
Location: Remote (national) or based in Durham office
The Programmes Manager will take responsibility for planning, delivery and evaluation of new and existing National Youth Choir programmes designed to create opportunities for young people across the UK to engage in high quality vocal and choral activity, and broaden access to the NYC community. This includes work with schools, communities, Music Hubs, and other key regional/national partners.
Our ideal candidate will love working with young people, be committed to the principles of excellence and inclusion, and have a deep commitment to creating opportunities for young people to engage in high-quality creative experiences. They will have previous project management experience, and be confident in leading creative teams and programmes, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Programmes Management:
• Coordinate and manage planning and delivery of Pathways & Partnerships programmes;
• Event management, and overseeing freelance project managers;
• Coordinate freelance practitioners, Emerging Professional Artists and volunteers to support delivery of programmes and activities;
• Facilitate online activities/events;
• Manage and coordinate evaluation for programmes and activities, also contributing to development of bespoke evaluation processes;
• Write event reports and contribute to reporting as required;
• Work within allocated budgets, as agreed with the Creative Producer.
Programmes Development:
• Support progression into the National Youth Choirs;
• Contribute to development of new and existing programmes;
• Support and develop relationships with practitioners, partners and stakeholders;
• Contribute to development of ways to embed youth voice;
• Contribute to development of a programme for NYC volunteers;
• Work closely with our Communications team to proactively promote our programmes;
• Promote work and impact of NYC, particularly in priority areas;
• Represent National Youth Choir at events.
