What you need to know

Our vacancy is for a Music & Orchestral Services Manager to work as part of the Artistic Team.

In a nutshell, this role is best suited to someone who has:

  • Professional experience in music or as a musician

  • A natural ability and drive that garners respect and trust, in order to ensure the highest level of creative outputs are met

  • First class communication and teamwork skills

  • Excellent organisational skills, including logistical planning

  • An affinity with Scottish Ballet’s culture and values

  • The ability to bring music to life at Scottish Ballet

Experience of managing logistical and functional operations of a busy music department and/or orchestra would be an advantage. 

It’s a full-time, permanent role:

  • Salary is £42,000 to £47,000 per annum (negotiated according to experience)

  • The role is full-time, 35 hours per week

  • Working hours will be flexible, with evening and weekend work applicable to touring schedules

  • The role is primarily based in our Glasgow HQ with requirement to tour both around the UK and also internationally
