Nichola Scrutton is an award-winning composer, vocalist and artist.

Nichola’s practice has several distinct but interlinking strands including sound and radio art, soundscape composition, voice, performance, improvisation, drawing/mark-making, writing.

She produces self-directed projects, and has extensive experience as a collaborator in interdisciplinary and participatory contexts. After completing a PhD in Electroacoustic Composition (2009 University of Glasgow, AHRC award), Nichola worked as a Teaching Fellow in Music for two years, and has been self-employed since.
