Nigel Don is a composer and arranger based in Edinburgh.

His works span the range from solo piano to full orchestra, and unaccompanied songs to large choir with orchestra. Many years of working with amateur musicians have given him a facility for avoiding technical difficulties.

Recent performances include Don't ask the time - a song cycle performed by Brian Bannatyne-Scott with Stuart Hope (piano) and Emma Lloyd (violin) in August 2023 and the Haddington Psalms by the Garleton Singers with Brass Tracks conducted by Stephen Doughty in June 2022. [Full performance here]

Recent recordings include Clarinet Quintet performed by Aaron Hartnell-Booth, Sophie Hamilton, Yik Liang Soo, Suzanne Godot and Rebekah Lesan and Bits and Pieces for cello and piano played by Rebekah Lesan and Jia Ning Ng.
