Dunedin Consort: Freelance Music Workshop Leaders

Dunedin Consort

Location: Inverclyde, North Lanarkshire, Perth and Kinross

Fee: See details

Deadline: 01/10/24

Dunedin Consort are launching an open call to find up to three Scottish-based freelance workshop leaders to work with our team to deliver workshops as part of our 2025 School Workshop Programme.

Dunedin Consort is seeking up to three workshop leaders to run a series of six sessions within schools in Greenock, Perth and Cumbernauld. Our workshops are based on the key pillars of foundational music-making:

• Listening – to inspire and learn
• Composing – to explore creativity and discover the foundations of music
• Performing – to increase confidence and broaden social skills

As a workshop leader, you will work with four classes across two schools, guiding the children through our 6-week programme and preparing them for their final performance.

A rough guide of learning outcomes and teaching resources is provided by Dunedin Consort for workshop leaders, but leaders are encouraged to use their own experience and materials to shape the content of the programme to best suit their skills.

These are paid freelance roles with paid training opportunities and child protection training.
